Asia and the Pacific Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Mongolia: Mapping of Women’s Resource Centres and Other Integrated Service Providers for Survivors of Gender-Based Violence 2022 OSCE The Gender Issues Programme of the OSCE Office of the Secretary General conducted a comprehensive mapping of Women’s resource centres and other integrated service providers for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) in Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Mongolia as part of the WIN Project. The mapping aimed to collect extensive information on existing services and mechanisms for direct assistance to and protection of survivors of GBV, to assess the main gaps and the need for capacity-building and knowledge-sharing in counteracting GBV, and to identify promising approaches and good practices across the OSCE region.  Asia and the Pacific «Мы должны перестать закрывать глаза на насилие над детьми» — Шахноза Мирзиёева 2023 Шахноза Мирзиёева За девять месяцев в Узбекистане зарегистрировано 1,240 случаев насилия над детьми, из них 417 — сексуального насилия, 166 — со стороны родственников. 22 ребёнка в результате насилия погибли. According to estimates of human rights activists, only one case of 10 goes reported to law enforcement bodies at best. Once it is reported, the investigation and courts often cause another trauma to children, while proceedings may take years.  Asia and the Pacific Gender Digital Divide Assessment: Uzbekistan 2023 UNDP Uzbekistan The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, realizing the negative impact of the gender digital divide on the development of the country, has included the issue of ensuring gender digital equality among its priorities. The United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan conducted an assessment to measure and analyze the main factors affecting the digital inclusion (or isolation) of women and girls, and recommended a number of actions that the Government can take to address existing gaps. The Russian language today is officially the language of interethnic communication in Tajikistan. With the support and funding of the Russian Federation, “Russian World”, “Russian Language Foundations”, “Russian Space” centers and new Russian language schools were opened and now operate in Tajikistan. Russia has also supported Tajikistan in higher education: three universities with full Russian-language instruction have been established and are operating. Legislative support, experience of Russian and Uzbek scientists are considered. The difficulties of introducing distance learning technologies into the educational process are identified, which educational organizations and students in both countries have to face. Conclusions are drawn and directions for further development and cooperation in this direction are outlined.
